To the left, you can see some more design elements. This is a fragment of our new product’s front panel.
The picture shows the word “Battery” and three LED lights right below it indicating battery voltage. Right below the battery voltage indicator we see a shiny switch that moves from left to right. This is the product’s power switch. It will have three positions: “Left”, “Middle” and “Right”.
You may be asking yourself: Why does the power switch need three positions? Power could either be “ON” or “OFF”. That’s two positions. Why do you need the third one?”

We are taking CEntrance to new heights and I need to improve my leadership capacity. This week I started a new personal challenge.
The challenge is part of a leadership class I’ve enrolled in. We were given an assignment to challenge ourselves this week.
Everyone picks something that’s important to them. Some people pick their health, others their personal life. I picked CEntrance, a topic near and dear to my heart.

CEntrance is a design firm. We know how to design digital audio products. By now we’ve worked with so much technology that we’ve become “technologically agnostic.”
This means that we don’t care which chip, component or technology buzzword is used in a circuit. As long as it’s used correctly the circuit will work. If it’s used in the wrong fashion, the circuit will not work. This reminds me of an episode from my college days.
Back in the days of transistor technology one of my electronics teachers had a saying:
If a circuit is drawn well, it will work, no matter what transistors you put in.

While I’m working client relationships in Australia our team in Chicago has received the next generation PCBs for our portable product! We are very excited to say the least. We’ve been waiting for these parts for a long time.
Thus far, only the digital PCB has been made. As we mentioned before: Our new portable product will feature the most complex technology we’ve ever undertaken.
